Questo è probabilmente il momento più duro della carriera di Maria Sharapova, e questa volta non per un grave infortunio o per scarsi risultati in campo. La squalifica per doping (la pena massima è di 4 anni) potrebbe sancire di fatto la fine della sua carriera. In attesa della sentenza, a poche ore dell’annuncio, Maria ha deciso di svagarsi un po’ e allontanare i pensieri dalla testa.
Fa un certo effetto vederla qui, sorridente e spensierata, mentre gioca a beach tennis con gli amici, corre e si gode la spiaggia californiana. Ed è strano vederla indossare i capi della Nike, il primo sponsor che l’ha “scaricata” dopo l’annuncio, che con lei nel 2010 aveva firmato un contratto di 8 anni e 70 milioni di dollari.
